REGIONAL REFERENCE · NOT LIVE MARINE INTELLIGENCE
Read the shoreline before you go.
Explore broad regional topography notes, bounding boxes and illustrative fish-habitat references for False Bay, Algoa Bay and the Wild Coast. Use this as a planning aid—not as a navigation chart, verified fishing mark or catch forecast.
The current records are demo references. Shoreline lengths and bounding boxes are approximate; species notes are not live sightings or bite predictions. Exact hotspot GPS coordinates, live marine conditions and nautical-chart overlays are not connected. Confirm official charts, local access, weather, swell, permits and regulations before travelling or fishing.
Official coastal and bathymetry references
These are external reference sources, not connected live layers in this planner. Review source metadata and current charts independently.
- DFFE Coastal Viewer — official coastal spatial-data viewer.
- DFFE / OCIMS bathymetry contour layer — regional depth contours; source metadata and datum must be checked.
- GEBCO_2026 Grid — global bathymetry baseline; not suitable for navigation or safety decisions.
- GEBCO user-defined-area download — obtain a bounded raster subset for the data-ingestion workflow.
Optional latitude and longitude must be entered together. The coordinate is checked against each region's broad bounding box.

Potential seabed structure areas are not available until a real, provenance-checked bathymetry dataset is published.
